Beautiful rooms, nice staff & a great location
Room smelt like stale cigarettes when the aircon wasn't on.
Everything was 100 % luxury, right down to beth quality toiletries in the bathroom Service was just fantastic ; Very helpful and really friendly staff ...Lots of them too ! Charming location Can't wait for my next visit, which will be soon !
When we complained we felt that we were listened to and someone is meant to be phoning me today but I don't hold out much hope. I think that we should get our money back for such an unpleasant experience. This is the first time I have ever complained about a hotel....what a darn shame we went there.
We were not in the main Hotel, we were put in a standard double room, we had paid for a Kingsize bed, we were told that in London a double was a kingsize, I am from London and the staff were not so I like to think I know more about London then them. Half the staff were rude and half were pleasant. We were told we couldn't eat in the Hotel restruant for breakfast as we had been put in a room not in the hotel however we did eat there! The room we had was very very small and there was work being down in the room across from us which smelt. I shall not be using your website as the room that we paid for was not given to us, considering we nearly paid £1,000 for 2 rooms for one night is extremely poor in my view. We were not happy being given a room that was much cheaper on their website!! We are so upset with this situation.
staff so kindly and helpfully Location is close from many atractions in London Room is clean and luxry It's perfect in general and recommended
Location was okay.
The service was very bad. Staff couldn't speak English properly. Bed wasnt comfortable and in my all stay tv didn't work properly and nobody was able to repair and I have not been asked to change room not anytime.
Stunning hotel in the heart of London. Staff were excellent. As an added bonus we were upgraded to a suite free of charge! Very luxurious hotel and reasonably well priced.
Suite was slightly cramped but otherwise couldn't fault it.
We'd enjoyed our stay at the montcalm, the location is just short steps to Oxford street, The staff were so Friendly and helpfull, the hotel is cozy and really a piece of heaven in a busy city as london!
The inhouse spa, and the roomservice was very nice.
The "Superior Double" rooms with a "King Size Bed" weren't the size I expected, neither the room nor the bed.
Concierge - very usefull.
The request to pay the whole stay (3 days) upon ceck-in is not acceptable (never asked somewhere else) some of the rooms are under standard. I've got such one & had to change after protest.
When we arrived at The Montcalm the reception was warm and we were informed that we had been upgraded to a bigger room. In the process of being upgraded the fact that I had booked a non smoking room was overlooked. I called reception and within 5 mins we were moved very efficiently and with an apology to a non smoking upgraded room. Great customer service!
Like many other hotels we found the duvet extremely heavy and hot which simply isn't necessary with a temperature controlled room. On checkout I mentioned that we had not slept too well because we were so hot, my comment was taken seriously and I was informed that housekeeping would be contacted regarding changing the duvet to a summer weight one.
friendly staff, good facilites , spa , free wifi and good restuarant.
the afternoon tea seemed v expensive and when we asked to share one stack it caused problems with the waiter who said he had already booked two as we were two people. We didn't want two as we had had one before and seen how large they are.
Nice hotel, well located near marble arch. Well decorated rooms, nice bulgari toiletries
Very small room. Hard to control the temperature. Can't open windows to get some fresh air. Extremely uncomfortable pillows even if I asked for a down pillow, I got a cheap feather pillow. For 400 pounds a night it should not happen.
Fantastic staff, great location, wired
Club room, over-priced, poor breakfast selection, gave me heartburns; they should watch how long the food are recycled to the next day. I should probably take the hotel's executives to other hotels to sample the services there. I sleep late and schedule my meetings late mornings ; I appreciate extra hour sleep in the mornings, the bloody cleaners' supervisor ( I suspect) likes to accidentally make a wrong number call to my room to see if I am in- even when my snoozy sign is on! It happened two mornings in a row!
Hospitality of the staff ,the design of the room ,facilities in the room
Cleanliness used to be better in the room and mostly in the resturant knifes ,forks were dirty ,floor not checked and had spilled food The quality if food from the room survive is not up to a standard of 5 star hotel your food variety and quality used to be better in the breakfast room and in the room service I used to get an upgrade being an old customer but unfortunate I didn't get the usual treatment from you which might affect my next visit to Montcalm The Internet was not strong usually poor signal I used to recommend your hotel to my family and friends and they did used it but after my last stay I have to be frank with my recommendations
Its location is very convenient. It's in a quiet neighborhood. The staff are friendly and helpful. The lobby is cozy and has a nice scent to it. I like the bowl of apples that is placed next to the elevator at every floor!
The corridors are very narrow. The room I stayed in was not in very good condition: the wood on the bathroom door was chipped off, one of the towels had a stain, one of the bedsheets had a hole in it, and some of the hangers had crooked clips.
